Half-day gravel tours are 20-30 miles, with full-days hitting 30-50 miles.
Half-day greenway tours go for 15-25 miles and full-days are 25-40 miles.
There is a lot of variability because we customize every single tour to the riders’ needs, based on interest, fitness, and experience.
Not at all. Northwest Arkansas trails, otherwise known as OZ Trails, are purpose built for riders of all levels of experience.
In fact, we think there is no better place to try mountain biking for the first time ever than downtown Bentonville. Our patient, professional guides will help ensure your first mountain biking experience, or at least your first ride in NWA, is one for the memory book!
We specialize in professional, private tours and mountain bike lessons. We leave the bike rental setup and care to other local professionals. Please call, text, or email us to get our recommendations for what bike to rent and which rental shops to check first.
When you book an experience with Ozark Bike Guides, there is a default meeting location provided in your confirmation email. However, if you are travelling without a vehicle, renting a bike, or your lodging is more convenient to another trailhead, reach out to us and we’d be happy to arrange an alternate start location.
If you aren’t sure, reach out and we will recommend the best location based on our expert local knowledge.
ALWAYS! All of our guides carry basic first aid kits, standard trailside bike repair tools and spare tubes.
All tours that venture into state parks or national forest trail systems will be guided by a certified Wilderness First Responder, with more robust first aid and bike repair kits, as well as an emergency action plan, and satellite communication device.
No requirements, but here are some guidelines: riders under age 6 may want to ride on a “Shotgun” seat atop an experience adult riders bike, ages 7-12 we recommend they are accompanied by an adult, ages 13+ usually do fine by themselves with a great guide to show them the way.
YES! All Class I + II e-bikes (pedal-assist) are allowed on ALL trails, soft-surface and paved greenway. We love e-bikes on our tours, because clients are usually here on vacation, and want to enjoy the ride, not suffer up the hills. And have energy to explore other activities afterwards.
Trips cancelled due to inclement weather (as determined by Ozark Bike Guides) are eligible for a 100% store credit.

Our group worked with Alex on 3 sessions. He is excellent at helping elevate your riding. He cuts right to the main skill to work on and keeps it simple. We spent a lot of time on table top jumps and everyone made big progress. I strongly recommend him for his content and approach. Lessons with him will elevate your riding.
1000% would recommend Alex. He was knowledgeable, super friendly, and created a custom route specifically for my skill level. He gave a great history of the area/trails, and he helped improve my skills by coaching me through the harder sections. He even provided local food and hiking recommendations. Riding with Alex felt like riding with a buddy I’ve known for years, and it was well worth it to just go out and shred the trails and not worry about getting lost. 10 out of 10!
My group of seven rode with Alex and Ozark Bike Guided for four days. Our itinerary was fantastic: Alex took us to the best of Northwest Arkansas. At every step of trip planning and preparation the company was extremely responsive and prompt. When we ran into a few logistical challenges securing a rental car, Alex and his team jumped into action and found us a vehicle. When I had a tire issue on the trail, Alex fixed it quickly and professionally. Alex is a consummate teacher. He aided me and my friends in improving our skills and raising our confidence levels. I can’t recommend Alex or his team more highly and without reservation
